Hi Raaj,
I think this is a great initiative that you have began. What you said is absolutely correct about aspiring trainers not able to get the right direction. I have come across a few people like this myself and have been actively assisting them. Some of them are now on their own with good positions in great orginisations.
Professionally I have a Master Trainer Certification from Canada which allows me to certify trainers on international standards. The report that I prepare post mentoring is a 14 page document on the trainer profile. There are more than 300 parameters on which is a trainer is observed before certification. I really doubt if trainee-trainers have this kind of a horizon. Currently I am on the role of a Training Head for a Multi National organisation.
Please let me know if I can be of any help to you or anyone else. I strcitly abide by the Training Achitecture designed by Ontario Society of Training and Development (OSTD).
Apart from this, time and again I get requirements for trainers for various junior, middle & senior level programs. This can benefit new trainers to jump start their career.
Personally I feel, being in the training industry, it is extremely important that experiences people should focus on growing the training circle as big as possible, only then we can create a Learning Culture in our society.
Thanks.
