Given below are the details of our niche and successful self defense workshop for women. The workshop is more need based as clients have made specific request for this program. It’s a four hour compressive workshop.
Urban Survival is like insurance, you need to pay the premium in advance. And what’s the premium? - Alertness, keen observation and fitness. Unfortunately none of these can be invoked instantly. They are habits to be formed over a period of time.
Security and safety has become an issue of importance for everyone but especially for women. Concerned about the rise in violent crimes including muggings, sexual assaults and domestic violence at Asthtva we have developed a program aimed at personal safety and security.
At GITT- (Give It To them) we prepare women for the unexpected. We tell them expect trouble. Only if you Expect trouble you would be aware and conscious of your surroundings.
The program focuses on helping women postpone acts of potential aggression through a combination of mental, physical and creative ability.
The self defense workshop does not try and teach the women how to do drop-kicks and complicated Judo somersaults. Instead, it combines very practical and useful everyday manoeuvres, which can be easily achieved by any woman.
The most useful lessons taught our the strength of MIND over body and how instincts, awareness, prudence and a strong mind are the most powerful defence mechanisms for a woman, even before physical skill. There were simple moves shown, questions asked, advice given on how to assess the gravity of a dangerous situations and much more.
