As an HRM student, when discussing HR consultancy, the focus often revolves around recruitment services or T&D services. However, there are numerous areas where consultancy firms assist organizations. I am eager to understand what HR consultancy entails and its scope. I welcome all your insights to raise awareness about HR consultancy services.

Hi Abhishek,

I have completed my MBA at one of the premier colleges in Hyderabad and am currently working at a Bangalore-based consulting firm in Hyderabad for the past 8 months.

Most HR students typically find opportunities in consultancies initially rather than in corporate settings. Many of them have the perception that we cannot progress in consulting firms. While this may be true to some extent, it does not hold entirely true as it depends on the individuals running the organization, the organization's vision, and mission.

Everything is interconnected with the vision and mission. Some consultancies operate their organizations in a highly professional manner and progress with specific aspirations, working in alignment with the mission and vision they have established.

Therefore, it is essential to seek out organizations with such aspirations. There is definitely room to learn more as there are fewer hierarchies in these consultancies, allowing you to understand everything from the ground up.

Regards,

Gowtam
