Hi All,

Can you please tell me how to do a reference check and what questions to ask about a candidate while conducting a reference check? Whose references should we actually ask for from candidates?

Thanks and Regards,
Wricha

Hi Wricha,

You can generally ask questions regarding the candidate, such as:
1) His potential for the given task or in the field he is selected for.
2) His attitude in the workplace.
3) His work ethic.
4) How his lead is feeling about his departure from that company.

Generally, references from the candidate's former lead or manager at the previous company are helpful.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards,
Kiran
