Respected Seniors,

I'm an HR fresher managing 200 employees in the company. I'm confused about the salary breakup and creating salary slips. I'm also unsure about the percentage allocations for DA, HRA, Conveyance Allowance, Non-Circumvention, and Non-Disclosure in Nagpur (a non-metro city), Maharashtra. Could you please assist me with this issue? My manager is not aware of it.

I'm preparing a salary slip based on gross salary or CTC. Please help me.

Dear Member you can follow the minimum wages structure of Maharashtra govt. for your industry and keep HRA minimum 5% maximum 50%.

Hi Pari,

I believe your salary structure is already in place in your company, and since you have just joined, you need to follow it as it is. Are you finding it difficult to understand the existing structure or how it should be? It's okay to try to understand, especially as a fresher.

If your company is already following a certain structure, why do you want to interfere with it now? Could you please provide more information about your company, such as whether it is a factory or something else?

Generally, there are corporate guidelines on this matter. If there are guidelines, try to read them to gain a better understanding. If the structure is based on a percentage of the gross salary, that's acceptable. Otherwise, you need to follow the rates prescribed under the Maharashtra Minimum Wages published by the state government from time to time. Please refer to the attached file for more information.

Regarding the Salary/Pay slip, there is a prescribed format under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Form No. XI), as per Rule 26(2) of the Minimum Wages (Central) Rules, 1950. I have attached the format for your use. There is also a different format containing details if it falls under the CLR Act. You have to choose the appropriate format for your entity.

I hope this information helps clarify things for you.
