Hi, we, the members of this forum, will not know what type of activities are being carried out at your plant on a day-to-day basis. Whether you sell the components in the local market or international market, the volume of business per day and the number of departments involved in production, it all depends... A general comprehensive report from the Plant Head to the Managing Director (MD) of the company should be at a macro level, leaving out the micro-level aspects of day-to-day production.
The ideal report should address the following points:
1. Volume of components produced for the day/week.
2. Whether the 100% target has been achieved against the orders in hand or any deficit.
3. Raw materials consumed towards the production of components vis-à-vis the procurement of raw materials for the next day's production or the stock in hand.
4. Plan of action/target set for the next day.
5. Month-to-month/year-to-year comparison MIS data in terms of production numbers.
6. Volume of manpower utilized on a day-to-day basis with notes on any additional requirements of manpower.
7. Any quality issues related to the raw materials procured.
The above are just some examples. Based on your needs, you can include further points.
