Employee Engagement is not to be confused as engaging employees in some sort of fun and games, or some diversionary activity to take away the pressure of work. Indeed it is quite the opposite. Employee engagement would mean undertaking actions required to integrate employee efforts with the organisational goals, identification or the emotional integration of employees with the organisation one is working.

Though I understand employee engagement is a broad term, the importance of fun, games and celebration can't be dismissed. Indian corporate culture is entirely different from western corporates and so is the expectation of employees.
