Usually the standard Bikes run 40/45 km per liter if the age of the bike is 5 yrs or more. There is also some maintenance cost. Organization may think for 1liter for every 30 Km run. We have one MNC client who are paying 1 liter for 25 km run including maintenance to their employees.

Our Forum Expert Shri S.K. Bandyopadhyay has given a broad outline of calculating bike running expenses. However to be fair and motivational for employees it would be suggested to add 50% of the admissible depreciation and 5% of the standard maintenance charges as normal overhead to cover miscellaneous/emergency maintenance expenses.
