Hello everyone, my question is related to Casual & Sick Leave. Our organization is registered in Delhi. As per the Shop & Establishment Act of Delhi, there should be 12 CL & SL, but our company has bifurcated it as 6 CL & 6 SL.
So my query is:
1. Is it okay to bifurcate CL & SL, 6 each per year?
2. If we credit these 6 CL & 6 SL on a quarterly basis, i.e., 1.5 CL and 1.5 SL every quarter, and these leaves cannot be clubbed, is this the right way to credit leaves?
Thanks

Though the Delhi Shop & Establishment Act 1956 provides for sickness or casual leave of 12 days, it also states that an employee who has completed a period of one month in continuous employment shall be entitled to not less than one day's casual leave for every month. Therefore, after every month, you have to add one day of casual leave to the account of the employee. The Inspector may not agree with your interpretation.
