The IT industry is governed by the provisions of Shop Act of the State and depending upon the number of employees and other factors, by other Labour Laws viz Minimum Wages Act 1948, Provident Fund Act 1952, ESI Act 1948, Payment of Wages Act 1936, Payment of Bonus Act 1965, Payment of Gratuity Act 1972, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act 1970, Industrial Establishments (Standing Orders) Act 1946.
