Tracking Employee COVID Infections
We are opening companies for employees. Is there any way we can track employees regarding COVID infection so that the infected person can easily be traced and returned to their home for recovery without disturbing other employees? If there is any software for maintaining workplace safety, please let us know.

Hi Bhupendra, what's your requirement? How many such employees need to be tracked? What measures have you taken at the workplaces to check and detect infection at the entry point itself? Your tracking starts at the gates.
Practically, to begin with, you could use thermal appliances to record body temperature. Through professionals who are wearing PPE, you have to ascertain if employees have experienced any symptoms recently. Ask them to declare, in a specific format, details of any infections in their family, neighbors, in the vicinity/apartment complex, locality, etc. These measures will help establishments identify infected personnel and initiate follow-up actions such as quarantine.
Governments have already circulated SOPs for filing data to the Nodal officers and other compliance. Tracking will be necessary once symptoms or suspicions of symptoms arise. Even if no symptoms are reported, asymptomatic cases can be prevalent. In such cases, establishments may conduct voluntary lab tests randomly in a cycle to rule out any infection spread in workplaces.
Nowadays, authorities do not cordon off entire areas where positive cases have emerged. Individuals with mild symptoms like cough, runny nose, and other associated conditions are advised to self/home quarantine for about 7 days initially. By the time the lab test results, whether positive or negative, are available, follow-up actions can be taken.
Even after 7 months since the outbreak, lab test results are not available before 48 hours. If authorities reduce the time taken for lab tests, for example, within a few hours, early detection of infection and quarantine measures could help contain the spread and aid in recovery. Care should also be taken to address and tackle re-infections reported in recent months.
