Hello, We are an IT company and are trying to chalk out a plan for resuming work after lockdown is over. We do have a sales team who will be working with local customers. Any inputs on this?

Even after the lockdown is over, we need to take necessary precautions at least for a few more months. If possible, continue WFH for staff who can manage work from home. Basic things like social distancing, wearing masks, and the use of sanitizer should always be in place. It will be applicable for everyone in the office. Sanitize the whole office before everyone joins the office. Encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Guidelines for Resuming Work Safely
Please collate all orders from government departments on the subject first. Once the factory/office starts, ensure social distancing and no overcrowding. Provide adequate sanitizers, face masks, and gloves. Ensure that shifts do not overlap and conduct frequent cleaning of the premises.
Precautions for Sales Staff
Sales staff must take extra precautions, especially when going out for fieldwork. Plan their fieldwork to avoid hot spots or containment zones, and discourage repeated same-day returns to the office. Supply them with extra sanitizing materials, gloves, masks, etc.
Allocate a specialized area for them to clean themselves when they return in the evening. Staff should avoid intermingling and maintain a safe distance, given their extensive trips across the city. Take due care and regularly screen all staff medically. Stay safe, be cautious, and keep up to date with the latest directives from state authorities.
