Ours is A small IT Company which is a Pvt. Ltd. started 2 years back. We have around 20 employees and need to design a salary slip as everybody is demanding it.
There is no deduction in the salary yet. Can you please suggest the structure. This is what i have designed, please help if it okay as per the rules and structure. or i need to change the slabs.
Basic 50%
HRA 25%
Special Allowance 15%
Conveyance 10%
Total 100%

Salary breakups are management call and not mandated by law.
You may want to keep Basic at 40%, to circumvent future responsibilities.
HRA should be a percentage of Basic based on the place of posting.
You may look at few tax friendly options, like meal vouchers, etc.

Hi, if management wish they can keep the format simple with just basic, HRA and special allowances.
