Good afternoon all,

I am Dhasleema, and I have been working in a private organization since August 2018. My company provides ESIC benefits. I have received a positive pregnancy result and am currently 24 weeks pregnant, which is equivalent to 6 months. I am expecting my baby in July 2019.

Employer Pressure to Resign

My employer is pressuring me to resign, promising to facilitate the ESIC benefits for me. They are asking me to leave by the end of April 2019. Please advise me on how to handle this situation as I would like to utilize my ESI benefits for the entire 6-month period, including the wages.

Thank you.

If you need maternity leave, give only the leave letter along with your medical certificates, I mean scan reports. Don't submit the resignation letter. If you resign from your job, it means you are ineligible for getting ESI maternity leave wages.
