Last year, Government had extended paid maternity leave from three months to six months. Because of this change, the small and medium scale companies were facing a monetary setback. Now the government is proposing to reimburse 7 weeks’ salary back to the companies. Under following conditions:
• For the women who are in a pay scale of 15000/month.
• Who are registered for ESIC for the last 12 months
Seeking more information on this update. By when will it be implemented? Any supporting authentic documents? What is the procedure to be followed by the companies for it? What are the guidelines for the company of the expectant mother?
