If any female employee is covered under esic, but has not gone through the esic for her treatment during maternity ,neither has availed any certificate of maternity (form 18) from esic. Can she avail maternity leave benefit from esic? or Employer will be liable to pay her wages during maternity leave?

Woman Employee covered under ESI can contact ESI with all relevant Documents & avail the benefits provided therein.Employer should have guided the Employee to avail ESI Benefits.Nevertheless,ESI will pay the benefit subject to eligibility criteria
