If an employee has leave to his credit and subject to the exigencies of work, leave can be allowed to the extent it is permissible in the circumstances. If the employee is seeking leave for self marriage, looking to the needs of Indian society 28 days is not unreasonable, and you may consider it favourably to the extent possible.
