We are having one factory registered under Factories Act. We wish to establish one more factory in Gujrat. In this regard, we require to register again or obtain license or just send intimation.

As per Section 6 of Factories Act 1948 a factory is required to have both registration and license. A registration is a one time activity ensuring due compliance of the basic provisions (e.g., the lay out plan, details of manufacturing process etc ) while license is an annual feature and is extended from year to year. Both are required before the factory commences manufacturing activity
