Some of the best ways to build up positive and healthy relationships are:
Take interest in people and people will take interest in you. This was stated by Dale Carnegie many years ago and is a universal principle that will hold true forever.
Genuine concern, appreciation and praise always help cement relationships. Never miss an opportunity to express these to the others.
Having a smile and a cheerful disposition always make you more endearing to others.
Sparing time to meet, greet, and communicate with others is always a sure shot way of cultivating strong bonds with people.
A friend in need is a friend indeed is an English maxim that has very deep connotation. Take the initiative to help out people and they will never forget your act of kindness.
Avoid criticizing people. If you have to say something negative do it subtly by way of a suggestion and preferably precede it with some positive statement.
Never lie to people. They will lose trust in you and regaining trust is extremely difficult.
