Dear All,
I have following queries related to ESI leaves:
a) How many ESI leaves can be availed by an employee in a calendar year?
b) Eligibility criteria to avail ESI leaves.
c) Payroll processing for ESI leaves.

1. Dear member, an insured person can avail Sickness Benefit (SB)under ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder for a period of maximum 91 days in 2 benefit periods (one year) provided he / she is eligible for the same. However, for long term diseases (ESB cases), the terms and conditions and period of entitlement are separate.
