Good afternoon HR professionals! :)
Is there any correlation between the spirituality of an employee at an individual level and his/her engagement levels? (Spirituality - relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things) (Spirituality - spirit of love)

I earnestly hope that the definition of "spirituality" as given within the parenthesis is not intended solely to confine the answer to your expectation, as the term, in fact, means differently to different people according to their perceptions.
Understanding Spirituality
Spirituality, if conceived philosophically, is the right effort to understand the absolute truth interspersed among the existential dualities. If approached religiously, spirituality is the holistic conduct of body, mind, and soul to realize the Cosmic Whole or God manifesting in parts across the visible and invisible universe.
The philosophical inward search is about understanding the existing dualities or polarities, which in fact define one another. We cannot see light and darkness together, but one distinguishes the other. Therefore, in the words of Prof. Larry Culliford, "spirituality involves a 'holistic' appreciation of a universe in which everyone and everything is connected seamlessly with every other and everything else." Wisdom involves remembering that such pairs always relate to one another, and at the same time, they are inseparable.
Spirituality in the Workplace
Therefore, in the realm of employment, the spectrum of which is limited by 'hire' and 'fire', in my personal view, "love" has no place except for describing an employed person's very strong liking for his work expressed through his unswerving devotion and dedication. On the contrary, compassion stemming from considerateness at an individual level can have some holistic correlation to engagement level.
