Warehouse System Improvement
Recently, I joined a company that deals with bath fittings, tiles, ready-made kitchens, and wooden floors. They have two large warehouses. Although the company is 21 years old, the work process is not up to the mark. Actually, there is no strong system in place. Please help me with the following:
1) Kindly assist me in creating SOPs for the warehouse.
2) Help me by providing JDs for the warehouse team. Please advise on the appropriate number of team members and their respective levels. I also need to evaluate the manpower cost.
3) Determine the optimal duration for items to be in stock and identify the point at which items are considered old. When should an alarm be raised in such situations?
