Hi,

Recently I have faced a problem where two employees in same project team have got mad with each other. This is because coordinator/team leader not guide the one of the team members appropriately.

We are in to Web development business and coordinator of the team not given instructions relating to guy who works under her. This has happen several times and now this guy desides to not to work under this coordinator and now coordinate his own. As a HR I have inquired both of the parties and identify the above issue. :?

This is because coordinator has given more preference to other guy working under her (only two guys work under this girl).

I have warned the coordinator and ask her to treat every one in the team similarly. She has promised to not have any issue for the same. But unfortunately guy who effected was not happy and informed not like to continue with coordinator. I have asked him to give one more chance but no positive reply.

Please advice how to handle this kind of issues. Why this type of things arise.

How we can avoid such a case like above. :?:

Dear Fiyaz,
These kind of issues arises because of the favouritism usually. In this kind of a scenario , initially you should sit with all the three individuals separately and listen to their version of the incident. Once this has been done then you would have a better clarity. After that this coordinator should be given an initial warning and her behaviour should be monitored for 3 months, if there is no visible change then she should be strictly made to understand that if she doesn’t correct herself then she may land into trouble. A joint meeting between this lady and the guy can also be conducted to sort out their grievance across the table. Needless to add that this meeting should be facilitated by the HR rep

Thanks Kunjal,
Yes, I have A joint meeting between this lady and the guy. Guy has put all the issues he has faced and blam the coordinator. At that point coordinator apologized and she promised me in future she take care of it. How ever this guy not giving a another chance to coordinator to work with him. since he has given chances to coordinator him self. So that is the big issue.
