Hi all,

I am pursuing 4th Sem. of MBA(HR) from JIMS through IP University in Delhi. I am on the lookout for my first job.

To give a brief profile - I hav done graduation in B.Sc.(Comp.Sc.) from D.U.

I did my summer training in Airtel and there I worked on the project 'Return on Investment of Employees Training'. Apart from doing my project there, I also co-ordinated an entire training program, made SDPs(Self Development Plans) of employees, scheduled n communicated about the various training programs that were held and evaluated feedback forms of training programs.

Academically, I have been an achiever throughout my student life. I have been my college topper in graduation as well as in MBA(Ist Sem.)

I am looking for a profile in HR in a good organization which provide me ample opportunity to learn and grow professionally. In return, I can assure that I will provide my best to the organization.

I was curious if you could share with me certain ideas about your summer project namely

1. Return on Investment in Employees Training

2. SDP's

I would specifically be curious about the parameters you took into consideration and the framework.

To brief you about me , I work in a Financial Industry in a generaist HR role. I have a total of 3 years of work experience in the Financial Industry. I wanted to undertake similar projects for my Organisation. Would be glad if you could provide a broad framework on both the projects you have worked on.

About your Query:

Since you have done a project in T&D its very natural you find a role in T&D function in the service industry.

You could be contemplating on questions like - Are you keen on taking up a generalist HR role as it would be different form T&D role.

Thanx for ur valued suggestions... bt i think u didnt notice one thing... this message is more than 1 year old... nw i hav almost 1 year exp... currently into recruitments in IT industry...
Now abt ROI n SDPs...
As far as ROI is concerned, i used kirkpatrick model n did calculations till level 3 only...

Now about SDPs...
We created detailed plans for every employee on certain parameters... we identified their strengths n weaknesses on these parameters n accordingly made SDPs for them which included technical, functional as well as managerial dev plans...
