Issues with PF and TDS Deposits at Sahara India Group
I am working at Sahara India Group and have completed almost 20 years of service. Our company has not deposited the PF/TDS amounts that were deducted from the staff to the concerned department. To date, the PF deductions from salaries have not been deposited in the EPFO (Government) section. It has been over eight months since I submitted a letter for a partial withdrawal application for a loan payment towards purchasing a new flat. Each time, I only received confirmation that the PF amount deducted to date has not been deposited in the appropriate section/department. Even on the EPFO site, it shows no record of the deposit.
Additionally, for the past year, TDS has been deducted from salaries without being deposited with the Income Tax department, and no Form 16A has been issued to employees. There is no union in this organization. Currently, some workers are forming a union, and the company has informed that if anyone joins the union, the relevant division will be closed, and staff will be terminated. Our division is already involved in a case with SEBI. Presently, job security for employees is uncertain, and everyone is concerned about their past, present, and future life.
Steps for Employees to Claim Deductions
In this situation, what steps should employees take to claim their deductions? Is it necessary to join a union at the right time, and how can deductions/benefits from salaries be claimed?
Please guide on the above.

Current Situation with the Company
There is nothing much that can be done at this moment with the company. The company itself has not been paying salaries fully since last year. The only option is to file a complaint with the PF and IT departments and follow up with the case.
As far as Unions are concerned, I don't think any Union will be interested in joining at this moment, as there is nothing the company can offer in return. Furthermore, the Unions, in this case, will only hinder reaching your objective.
Rest assured, keep looking for a job in the market, and move as soon as possible.
