What type of organization are you working for?

There is nothing in the factory act, but in the standing orders applicable, the process and time limit of giving an experience letter is provided. So you need to check whether the standing orders apply to you.

If you are an office or shop, then you need to check the state act under which you fall.

Some states' Shops and Commercial Establishment Acts (e.g., Kerala) provide for issuing service certificates on termination of service and for applying for jobs elsewhere. However, there is no such right for a factory worker unless provided in the standing orders.
