Hi,

I joined TCS as a Business Associate (Payroll of a Tata Group Company), but after joining TCS, on the very first day, I got to know that I would have to work in an odd shift from 2 PM to 12 AM. As a girl, I am not comfortable working in such work timings. Therefore, I stopped going to the TCS office from the next day itself. My employee ID or email ID was not yet generated by TCS when I left my work. I informed the company under whose payroll I was working, but they started threatening me. I told them that it was their fault not to inform me about the work timings, but it seems they are least bothered about their fault.

What I want to know is, as I will not be continuing my job, will I be blacklisted from TCS and all Tata Group Companies, or will I be blacklisted only by the company under whose payroll I was working? Also, what can be the other consequences I would be facing?

Dear Friend,

I hope you have received the offer or appointment after a successful interview and have accepted the terms and conditions of the firm. If you are not interested in working during odd hours, it is advisable to inform the authorities about your preferred working hours. This will benefit you in the long run.
