you need to understand the fact, as per act, in a calender year of service, if a person completes 240 days then he can be retrenched with one month wages as compensation and 15 days of gratuity for the service rendered.

Dear Haipandi ,
The eligibility criteria is 240 days of continuous service in a calender year. completing it in 11 months and getting eligible is always a debatable point remained. for the sake of law on paper, it need to be eligible only in 1 year, not in 11 months.

In the particular months your 240 days attendance made you eligible to benefits what you are entitled to , its 45 days wages. In fact benefits equal to 45 days wages is a lump sum money which has lot of things undisclosed within. No need to know even if not disclosed to you. There is always a practice to use common sense and manage things without making it complicate . Wonderful, contact concerned official to get this money strategically and fast. Why you are asking name of Acts under which the entitilements are payable. Its best thing that you are getting money after a year on completion, take it silently and use money. There are companies, not giving any compensation to contract employees, pl. note.
