Dear 'citehr' members,

It is often observed that many members are asking about the pension benefits of EPF pensioners as per EPS 1995 pension norms when they have worked under EFPS 1971 and under EPS 1995, and have more than 10 years of PF paid membership, retiring at the age of 58 years. As per the reference law book, (1) Commercial's EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUNDS AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS ACT, 1952 along with Employees Pension Scheme, 1995 published by Sri R. A. Garg, Bare Act 2002 and (2) Employees Pension Scheme of 1995 brochure published by former R.P.F. Commissioner of New Delhi and then in Karnataka during 1997-99, it clearly states that such a member is eligible for the quantum of pension under EPS 1995 norms for the actual or pensionable service pension by a formula Rs 5000 X Actual service/70. The quantum of pension under EFPS 1971 as past service pension is prescribed in 3 slabs, namely, Rs 500/month for their 24 years past service for those who are 53 years and older on 15-11-95, Rs 600/month for their 24 years past services for those between 48 and 52 on 15-11-95, and Rs 800/month for their 24 years of past services for those below 48 years old on 15-11-95. Proportionately less for lesser than 24 years past services but minimum past service pension of Rs 335/month, Rs 438/month, and Rs 6325/month is prescribed for the 3 age groups as mentioned above. These truths are hidden by EPFO of India and can be seen. Additionally, past service benefit under EFPS 1971 is also eligible for an EPF pensioner prepared as per one chart and age and salary on 15-11-1995. This factor X figure on TABLE-B is the past service benefit. The aggregate of all these three items will give the monthly pension of an EPF pensioner. However, due to non-compliance of EPS 1995 norms by the EPFO, poor EPF pensioners are not receiving the above 3 pension benefits. Citehr can verify this truth and help innocent EPF pensioners who are receiving less than the minimum pension of Rs 600/month due to wrong and distorted EPS 95 pension norms. Some experts in citehr may verify this truth and help poor victims of EPF pensioners.

Dear citehr members,

When all the state government and central government pensioners are receiving handsome monthly pensions, along with yearly or bi-yearly revisions of pensions, interim relief, medical benefits, and many more advantages, the poor EPF pensioners are receiving a monthly pension below the prescribed amount of Rs 600 per month. They are not benefiting from annual actuarial valuation, interim relief, DA rises, or any other benefits like the others are receiving.

Up to the year 2000, EPF pensioners were receiving a 4% interim relief or DA rise, but since then, there has been no DA rise, interim relief, or any other benefits. From the retirement date of October 31, 2000, until today, some EPF pensioners are receiving only Rs 333 per month as EPF pension, which is a consolidated amount for their day and night shift work during their 16 to 30 years of service. They receive no additional support.

There is no advocate or support system available to aid these poor EPF victims in India. Many EPF pensioners are unaware of the EPS 1995 norms and are living and passing away without receiving their entitled monthly pension. If any citehr members can assist these disadvantaged EPF pensioners legally and on a humanitarian basis, it would be greatly appreciated.

One of the EPF pensioners and citehr members.
