Dear Seniors,
I am a female with 8-9 yrs experience into HR. On a purpose to switch, I need to appear for Interviews. Kindly explain me what kind of formal attires should I wear.
Western dress (Trousers and Shirts) are in my opinion suit executives the most. However I am a Manager-HR. What kind of the best impressing dress can be there in india for senior positions to appear for MNCs.

Hi. I am working as HR Coordinator, and I have some experience in hospitality industry. Hence I was trained on grooming, attire etc and I come from some experience when I reply to you on this email.
For a person of your experience, as you said, western formals such as trousers and shirts is an excellent choice. You can team it up with a comfortable blazer (contrast blazer or a matching suit) to complete your look and give you that additional maturity and authority.
Makeup should be minimal and neutral. Matching formal shoes in excellent condition and a simple formal watch will perfectly complement your look.

Formal colours such as greys, blues and blacks will be the obvious choices for clothes. Beige and light brown colours also go well if used correctly. I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily.

Dear Mamta,
The Dressing for the interviews completely depends on the company you will be going too. Choose between Formal Trousers, Shirts and Blazers and Saree. The Saree needs to be plain or with not much of noice in the pattern. Also opposed to the formal attire this needs to be in the bright colours.
Also think about what type of colurs can you carry off much better or in which clothes are you more comfortable. Dress accordingly and most importantly be your self...

Madam Mamta,
Greetings. Your dressing for the interviews should be in conformity with 1.The culture of the place/city. 2. Dress code of the organisation and 3. The position you are being interviewed for. Other usual considerations are
* do not wear dark coloured garments - light blue, lilac, beach, half-white,cream will be fine
* do not wear ornaments with which you are not used to earlier
* do not wear foot wear that makes noise while walking
* do not use strong odor perfumes/mouth sprays
* do not let loose your hair
* do not float your saree (if you wear one)
Just try to be as you are and you can impress the panel with your skills.
All the best.

Dear All,
Thanks for your suggestions.
However besides your answers about dresses like shirts, trousers & sarees, I have been knowing this since my school time.I have noticed some ladies applying for MNCs, wear other western dresses to look more presentable. For expl: single piece dress with long coat, shirts with attractive blazers with nice accessories. Can anybody suggest me something like that?
Kindly do not tell me that \"be yourself as you are or be confident etc\". Also do not need suggestion for footwear, accessories, dress colours etc. I already have fair idea about all these things. I have been into corporates for long. I want to know only about trendy formal dresses. You can send me link of shopping websites. Hope you get it right.
Thanks
