AnonymousI am an Indian expatriate based in a South East Asian country. Now, the Government of India has made it mandatory to register with the Indian embassy, the moment you migrate for a job to any country. and this registration is done online. If the registration is not done, then, the expatriate cannot avail of any services from the embassy, including passport renewal, notarisation of documents etc.
The Ministry of external affairs has this data with them along will all the information including the vocation of the expatriates. You may approach them and am sure there could be some modality to get the details.
You could also contact the government agency, Overseas Manpower Corporation ( OMPC) and they will be able to help you.

AnonymousIt was not mandatory for Indian citizens till last year. Last year the Government of India brought in this rule for its citizens on account of the exploitation that happens with domestic workers in Middle East.
