Dear HR Fraternity,
Greetings,
How would you/ your organization effectively manage the Attendance in HRMS (Log in-out time of 9 hrs) in case you offer flexible working hours for your employees. Employees regularizing their attendance manually ,almost every day, is not a feasible option .
It becomes challenging during the payroll time.

Thanks for the prompt response. We already have HRMS ( attendance managment system) in place. To clarify my question , let's say, that I work for 6 hours in the office and 3 hours from Home. How would you capture the 3 hours in the system..

Your last comment defines your problem of segregation of working hours and problem in its management. I am sure you must want to use this information for accurate salary calculation.
You can choose to use HRMS which lets you handle managing of working hours for each employee.

As per your query, primarily you need a flexible attendance solution wherein employee can login either from office or home in case working from home. As technology is growing very fast, most of the web apps are transforming into mobile apps for easy access to end user.

So you can incorporate mobility for your employees attendance management. To be precise, GPS based mobile attendance system which can capture the attendance of the employees from office or home location. This will provide you flexible working hours.

Employees can clock-in/clock out from office and system begins capturing accurate working hours. The same can be applied for employees who work from home as well.

For instance, as you mentioned employee can clock-in from office and work for 6 hours, then clock out from office. Go back to home, again employee can clock-in from home and work for 3 hours, then clock -out from mobile attendance system. Likewise, 9 working hours would be accurately captured by Mobile Attendance System.
