We came across a case where a woman is already receiving a pension from her employer after retirement. Now, her husband has passed away due to poor health. Will she be eligible for the widow's EPF pension as her only daughter has completed 25 years of age? If yes, does she need to open a different pension account in the bank or can she continue with the same one?
I have heard that a person can only avail of one pension in their entire lifecycle. Is this true?

Dear Pranay Patil,
Whatever benefits are available from EPF are the returns on the contributions made on behalf of a member. Accordingly, if an EPF member dies, the widow/widower will receive a pension in addition to other pensions. Therefore, please apply for the widow's pension using Form 10D.
