Agreed with Prashant, wages has to be paid on 26 day basis as because the working days in a month is 26 rather than 30 or 31 days as 4 days are rest days. thanks & regards, Sumit

Wages to be paid for whole days that is 30,31,28Or 29 with sundays holidays If you work for 26 days it has to be paid for 30/31/28/29
(Including sundays). If there is any loss of pay his wages to be calculated for 30/31/28/29 For example his salary is Rs.5000 in the month of Jan 5000 to be divided by 31*no of days ab.That is the correct method because we are paying sundays & holidays also.we are not cutting wages for holidays

Dear Subbarao, I think you are mixing with wages and salary. Wages(workers) based on 26 days and salary(employees) based on full days of the month. I agree with Prashant and Sumit. Sincerely, Mimu143

Dear Subbarao ji, government rule says that company give only 26 days wages and 4or 5 days holidays so if we calculate per day wage so we have to divided by 26 days to total month wages.

Dear Mr. Sharma,
To answer your query I would like to say that wages are paid to labor on daily basis(per day wage rate x no of days worked) and salary is paid to employees (workers or staff) on monthly basis(30 or 31 days). So please check whether you have hired workers on daily wager or monthly salary basis.
