Hi Meenu,
To avail facility of ESIC employees salary should be maximum 1,80,000 INR per annum (15 thousand gross per month). Employee has to fill up the form and give a picture to the organization. For an example if employee wants his mother and father to get insured under ESIC facility he/she has to give one single picture of his/her and one picture with the mother and father. Once company submits the same form and picture to ESIC office you will get an ESIC card of each employee. I think it has a validity of one year (I am not sure if it is one year or six months). Along with the card employee receives the panelist doctors as and when they need any kind of medicine they can go to the doctor and get it. This is usually it works. Let's see what other professionals has to say about it.
Hope it helps.

Ok, then you are talking about company side.
See, first change your mind set that it is an Insurance. It gives a lot of relaxation when any problem arises. This is like a safety jacket for the Organization.
You can easily get, What, When and How benefits can be availed from the ESI. There ar a lot of benifits for different purpose like, Mediacl, Pention, Disability Binifit, Deat Benifit, Benifit to Family members and many more.
But, the most Important thing is awareness among the Employees / Workers regarding the benefits and advise them to take benefit from their contribution.
As you know the Employer share in ESI is very high and If the Employees of an Organization are not getting benefit from the contribution, contributed by the Organization for their safety and security, then there is no value of the contribution that the Employer had made for them.
So go through the ESI Act and Rule and train Employees.

The most important benefit is the medical benefit which is free for all employees having the ESI insurance number .
The ESI also pays the gross salary to any employee who avails medical leave provided the same is not paid by the organization where he works .
If he takes the employee smart card / Pehchaan card he can get treatment throughout the country , though hospitals are also asking for the ESI Form 37 to find out if he is still working for an organization which is paying ESI contributions .
Further in the case of accidental death in service , the employee can get ESI pension .

Dear Meenu, where is your organisation based. do you have an ESIC clinic nearby?
From India, Moradabad

Is issuance of ESIC is linked with number of employees, the way PF is linked with at least 20 employees.
IF so then what is the limit that if these number of employees are available then only company is liable to pay ESIC?
Please guide me.

Dear Meenu,
The employee who is getting below Rs 15,000/- salary per month, those are eligible for ESIC benefits. Form-1 Is the entry step for ESI (Employee should fill the form with complete details and Nominee)and submit to ESIC Branch office. Under the ESIC act employees will get- Hospital benefit, Maternity benefit, Sickness benefit, Super speciality hospital benefit, Reimbursment of medical expenses (Depend on the situation)Penction (Incase of Acident death while in service) and Funaral expenses Etc.

The minimum number of employees for an organization to register with the ESI is 10 .
The legal heirs of an employee are eligible for funeral expenses , which is Rs. 10,000/- , if an enployee dies while in service , for which you need to fill up Form 22 and enclose the death certificate and submit it to the ESI corporation .
