Hi everyone,
I worked for a consultancy in Hyderabad for a year and was then placed in the Chennai branch of a private IT company by them. I was paid by the consultancy, so my PF account was maintained in Hyderabad. Later, the same IT company that I had been working for through the consultancy hired me directly after a year. This company maintains PF accounts in Bengaluru. I submitted FORM-13 to transfer the PF, but I did not receive any proper replies regarding the status of the transfer from the new company. As of now, when I check the status of the Hyderabad account on the EPFO site, it shows the balance, indicating that the PF transfer has not been processed.
I had to resign from the organization after a year due to maternity reasons. Now, I am confused about whom to approach for the status and how to withdraw my PF amount from the Hyderabad account.
Can someone please help me?
Regards,
Ramya

Dear Ramya,
You may approach the HR Department of your former employers and request their assistance in this matter. PF withdrawal can now be done online. Please refer to the informative article published in The Indian Express dated 28 May 2013 regarding PF withdrawal, which is attached with this thread.
You may also reach out to the PF local office for any additional support. If your employer is unwilling to sign the PF withdrawal form, you can have it attested by any gazetted officer of state or central rank and then submit it to the PF office for further action.

Dear All,
I am working with my present organization for more than 5 years. I want to apply for an advance from my PF for alteration/repair of my house. Please suggest:
1. The house for which I want to apply is more than 15 years old, but I have purchased it recently. Can I apply for the PF advance for alteration/repair of the same?
2. What documents are required along with Form 31 and the declaration form to be submitted to the PF office?
3. What is the normal processing time for the issuance of the advance?
Looking forward to urgent support.
Thanks & Regards
