Hi !
Thank you for reply.
I have completed Bcom and am pursuing PGDHRM from Symbiosis, Pune.
I wish to build a career in HR.
I have been associated with a charitable org from the past 4 yrs. Later I had got an opportunity to work as a relations officer, training coordinator and administrator. In my this 4 year career I never accepted any salary coz this organization has taught me a lot and its very close to my heart. Now, i wish to pursue a career in HR and would like to switch into IT or ITES sector.
I need some guidance on the following query: - :?
Ø How can i start my career into HR in an IT or ITES sector?
Ø Since I have not yet completed my PGDHRM, will I get an opportunity to work into HR now?
Ø From which level do i need to start?
Ø How should i analyse whether the job is right for me?
Ø Can my experience some how get counted to get me into HR?
Awaiting for a reply from your side.
Thank you :)

Dear Ruhi,
You already have experience as an admin/relationship officer, so you would not be considered a fresher in HR. However, you also have experience as a trainer, which is in demand in the ITES industry. You can continue as a trainer if you are interested. If you are keen on HR, consider joining in recruitment in the ITES sector, as you have the ability to screen candidates effectively. Initially, the pay may not be high, but after gaining a year of experience in recruitments, you can aim for positions in reputable companies focusing on core HR activities for better exposure.
You do not necessarily need to have an MBA/PGHRM qualification. If you possess good PR skills, are a good counselor, and have empathy towards people, which are essential qualities, you can succeed. Simultaneously, consider completing a course in HRM. In fact, I am a science postgraduate with professional experience. Only after working in recruitments did I get an opportunity in core HR. Trust me, it requires a lot of patience and determination but is definitely not an easy task.
ALL THE BEST :) :) :) Hope this advice is helpful to you.
