Hi

Finding suitable games/ activities to reinforce the learning in an indoor setting for team building is a real challenge. I am taking the liberty of sharing a couple of games that come to mind immediately.
  • Search for the broken square exercise which is a good game to play between teams.
  • You can also try to take well known quotes/ proverbs and make small chits of each word. Then give each team member a chit and then ask the team members to quickly form a row which will form the entire proverb.
  • There is also a dessert survival exercise, which you can try and search from the net/ Citehr.
  • You can also try the chinese whispers to lighten the mood but this would presuppose participants have fair grasp of English or the relevant language you choose to share the story/ joke/ incident.

I hope my suggestions will trigger more ideas.

You are also welcome to read the following Inspirational and Motivational Blogs and particularly the Try This / Action Points section in which it is possible to find some more activities that could be very useful to you.

Dear RBS,
Very informative games, but the book is copyright 2007 by World Scientific Publishing Co.Pet.Ltd. Your intention is very good...to help out the CiteHR members, but against the Cite rules.
Inconvenience is regretted.

Dear Ramesh Bhardwaj,
We no where in the reply mentioned about that the copyright of the games are with us. We simply forwarded the PDF files which were already uploaded on the other Cite threads.
To know the specific requirement of the games where we can help, we explicitly mentioned about the details of the requirement / objective of the games.
Hopes this satisfies you :)
Thank you,
RBS

Ok. Try this one. Make two or three teams. Give them a certain number of ballons, and one set of cello tape. You can limit the number of balloons to say 100.

Ask them to maker a erect tower of inflated ballons with the help of cello tapes. It is fun as well as needs lot of brain storming and team spirit. People will have fun.

Once done, ask them to share what each one felt while they were doing it, did they decide on the strategy to do it, what were the constraints and how they felt once done .You can think of few more activity based thought provoking games.

The aim of this game is ;

To initiate a high level of effective internal commumication

Effective delegation and co-ordination( some may not be good at blowing air in balloons, tying it etc etc)

Ballons are the customers, some will burst, some will fly and genuine ones will stick around. You have to be very careful if lose(burst) most of them so be careful from beginning

Cello tape (The employee) is the binding force between the earth(the company) and the balloons(customers). It cannot work in isolation, need right amount of tape at right place and is a part of the whole.

You can add your points. Tried and tested by me many times. Does wonders.
