Hi Cocomax,
I guess you are referring to recent Typhon that effected many areas in philippines due to natural calamity.
Well, why would someone look for "money" when a company has been unselfish and kind in declaring "Suspension of work" for those who cannot makeup due to bad weather. If you have worked, it was ur duty anyways and you would be rewarded in kind for your honesty and courage to support the company in adverse conditions.
Answer this
"What benefits/Salary will you give for:
1. A Soldier who died with enemy bullet on border,
2. A Soldier who Fought and return back injured, &
3. A Soldier, who was not able to fight at all.
Whom amongst 3 will u give more salary, if given a option. I guess, all will get same. No differentiation. Becoz, it would termed as Greedy and jealousness and unfair. To ask for a monitory gain at adverse conditions, is nothing but being selfishely opportunistic.
Cheers and wish you good luck.

While appreciating and agreeing with Ukmitra's reply; I would like to just add that it entirely depends on the company and its culture; but at the same time company can not be faulted if it does not give any special compensation.
An example that comes to mind. is that of the terrorist attack in Mumbai, wherein Taj hotel rewarded those employees who had shown exemplary courage during the extremely trying violent times.
Warm regards.
