Hi,
I have recently joined an Online IT Services organization and i have been entrusted with an assignment on HR -
how are different levels in an organization arrived at and how are salaries fixed for each level or Grade or is it based on experience the levels are fixed or is there any other criteria. Also details regarding different levels in an organization and slabs of salary fixed.
Please help me...........

Thanks for your response.
I do have spoken to few of my contacts in HR Field and inferences that i have received is there is a seperate team in the organization who does the market survey. It is based on this survery that the salary is fixed.
Different levels in the organization is based on experience and salaries based on experience and education and also based on niche skills that they possess.
Please Guide.............

Hope you are doing good....

See it looks difficult but no so,

1) first you shall prepare an organisational chart : Departmentalwise

2) prepare hierarchy of departments

3) select your department

4) acquire a job profile or prepare on general basis

5) Fix a gross salary, ask how much they are getting approximately or select a reasonable amount by your self

6) now acquire the details as to difnt benefits provided by the company to the employee ans special benefits if any in the department.......

7) try to know the deductions made by your company or you may refer the cite in general,

8 ) now split the Gross salary : basic + HRA + allowances + special Allowances (-) PT , edu cess and any other deductions like PF,

So you got the whole picture of department and salary distribution.....

Salary is fixed according to the company policy differ from industry to industry and company to company, like based on experience, fixation on the job designation, qualification, chic, ....... these kind of info you get if you browse..... Slabs you may get it on this cite...

This is more of general for learning purpose....

But if you require an exact format, I do not possess it, wish any may be having it to share......
