I am working in an auto parts manufacturing company as a dispatch associate. My colleague has been misusing transportation and manpower. I have suggested many times to my colleague to stop this practice, but he hasn't stopped. My group leader is also siding with my colleague.

Seeking Advice on Misuse of Resources

Kindly advise me on what I can do in this matter.

How much would your delivery be affected by the misuse of company property? We understand it's unethical. However, for you to proceed, you need to be clear on the following agenda:

- Please find out the policy for transportation. This should give you an idea of the dos and don'ts and to whom you should escalate if there is non-adherence.

- You have already mentioned that your boss is supporting the colleague. Please be cautious as this can be a slippery slope. You can't escalate to a higher authority if integrity is lacking across the board.

- Determine how your work or the cost to your role would be affected if such misplacements continue.

- Keep a journal of company property use for yourself and share it with a senior who may value it. If you don't find such a person, keep the journal with detailed data on issued items, users, and dates to yourself.

- Review the stocks if you are responsible for them and prepare a report. Clear documentation will reduce any hassles for you.

Hope this helps! Looking forward to hearing more from you.
