I am working in a jewellery manufacturing company in Jaipur. Our employer wants its employees to sign a letter of undertaking of "Confidentiality & Non-disclosure." Can anybody explain to us what it is? Also, if anybody can provide us with a format of the undertaking that shall be beneficial for both the employer and the employees as well.

I don't think there is any particular format for this. Or better, I would say if there is any, I am not aware of it. These things are usually mentioned in the appointment letter. This is why it's important to read it thoroughly before signing it.

Dear Vandana, you are absolutely right. An appointment letter is also an agreement between the employer and employee. If the same movement is not mentioned in the appointment letter, it can be designed separately.
