Dear All,
I am working in a chemical industry in Ahmedabad and i have a question regarding eligibility of bonus...
As our consultant said that bonus is eligible whose gross salary is less than 10000/- per month as per direction of Gujarat High Court judgement all the allowances are included for eligibility of Bonus...
So Is it correct or wrong??
I think Bonus is payble on whose Basic Salary is Less Than 10000/-
If you have any attachment regarding this clarification then please send me urgently....
Please guide me on this issue...

Yes. But as per Payment of Bonus Act, the maximum salary to be considered is Rs.3500/- (This is also likely to be revised). Minimum Bonus is 8.33% and max. is 20%.
And, an eligible employee for Bonus, should have worked for atleast 30 days, in the preceeding 12 months.

Dear Mr. Nair,
My question is not the minimum bonus and maximum bonus..
My query is Bonus is applicable on Basic Rs.10000/- or on Gross Rs.10000/-
for example: If any employee getting Basic of Rs. 5000/- And Allownace is Rs. 5500 so his Gross Salary is Rs.10500/- p.m. so he will get the bonus or not???
