If I have 50,000 Rs and I need good returns in a short-term period, please advise on how we can plan to invest and where. I also seek advice on the allocation of investments, such as partial investment in Gold, partial in the Equity Market or Mutual Funds, and partial in KVP and FD, etc.

Types of Returns

Returns can be of two types:

- Risky returns, like investing in the stock market or commodity market, and
- Risk-free returns, like investing in Bank FD, KVP, or NSC.

It totally depends on you how much risk you can take. If you want sound sleep, then it's better to invest in risk-free returns. The return is lower compared to risky returns, but there is very little chance of losing your hard-earned money.
