I want to know what the purpose of personal blogs is in citehr. I think hardly anybody visits them; even I don't visit them often. What we write there can also be written in the forum.

Blogging is organized, whereas a forum is not organized. This blog site is new and growing, but in other blogs, you can find millions of people who are members. In forums like groups, there are very few members, typically in the thousands. Searching for material is very easy on a blog. We can also make it more lively by using avatars, smileys, etc. Our inbox will not be cluttered with unwanted emails as received in a forum. It's better to be on a blog where we can choose what we want. I hope you have gained some insight. If you need more information about this, let me know. Try becoming a member of five different blogs and five different forums!! You will notice the difference.

Ghosh, I suggest you keep posting and reading messages posted by others. You can share files, etc. Also, you can create your own page. It will be your personal page where you can write whatever you want. Keep browsing.
