Some simple tips to begin with:

1. Make sure you have a proper position description that sets out the requirements of the job as it is done in your organization.
2. Ensure you have a person specification that outlines the skills and attributes the successful candidate needs to perform the job.
3. Develop a targeted interview questionnaire based on both the PD and PS to ensure the candidates possess the necessary skills to do the job and integrate into the company.

That's all there is to it. No need to complicate the process. Remember the KISS principle. The main thing to remember is that you need to do this for your organization, not what someone else does in another organization. Generic questions never work if you want the RIGHT person for the job.

Apart from that, there is a wealth of material already posted here on CiteHR about interviewing. Please use the Research box at the top of every page.
