Dear all,
Kindly let me know innovative ideas for celebrating Fire Week. Some competitions apart from poster making and slogan competitions would be appreciated. Additionally, please provide some banners or displays with slogans for Fire Week.
I am eagerly waiting for valuable suggestions.

Dear Hansa,
Nice to see your thread as your team is going to celebrate Fire Week at your company. M/s Hansa will conduct a quiz program, coordinate with the fire department to conduct fire safety and fire prevention trainings, display fire safety banners, and conduct small programs (did you see that PPT Mr. Dipil shared for Safety Day celebration?). We will issue fire safety and home fire safety cards (small size cards) at the gate to all our employees.
Please follow the below-mentioned links to prepare a fire safety quiz and fire prevention quiz.

Let's see what we plan out.
Many of these things we do every year. This time, I'm thinking of conducting some different programs or competitions for our employees and contractors.

Dear Ma'am,
For the celebration of Fire Week, you can conduct various types of drills throughout the week as outlined below:
1) Fire extinguisher drill using fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, and CO2 flooding systems.
2) Assess the response time of security guards to fires by organizing mock drills.
3) Practice emergency evacuation from a confined smoke chamber through a practical demonstration.
4) Provide training on how to utilize fire Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as B.A. Sets, Proximity Suits, and Fire-Resistant Suits.
These activities may be beneficial for you. I would like suggestions on the following queries:
1) When should we obtain a Fire NOC?
2) What is the validity period of a Fire NOC?
3) Is a Fire NOC applicable to all?
4) My industry is a fabrication industry with minimal fire hazards; should I still acquire a Fire NOC?
Thank you and regards,
Yash Vyas

Dear Friends,
Our team, Mr. Raghu, Mr. Dipil, and Mr. Yash Vyas, have already provided very nice and valuable suggestions to make the Fire Day celebration more productive.
Let me share my experience about the Safety Week (04-03-13 to 10-03-13)...
About ten days before the beginning, we displayed on the notice boards in the premises about the celebrations. We requested all the employees to give their safety suggestions, slogans, posters, or best ideas to make the environment accident-free. We also announced the prizes with cash prizes and mementos.
During the opening ceremony, we invited government officials from the Fire Department, Civil Defense Department, and doctors. They addressed our employees about safety and gave practical demonstrations. For all the gatherings, we arranged refreshments with cold drinks and tea.
Furthermore, we motivated the employees to come forward with their safety posters, slogans, and safety suggestions. By 08-03-13, we had received about 50 safety posters and 100 suggestions, etc. We formed a committee of our five seniors who selected the best three prizes and ten consolation prizes. The winners were each awarded Rs. 2100 with different trophies for the top three prizes and Rs. 1100 each with trophies for the ten consolation prizes.
The best posters were laminated and displayed in prominent places in the factory.
All the winners were presented with their prizes at the closing ceremony held on 11-03-13. Once again, all attendees were offered refreshments.
This event has created desire and motivation among our employees. We also displayed photographs of all the winners, further motivating all employees to participate in such events.
