It's nice to know that you have joined CiteHR, which is actually a very helpful and informative site!
Since you are Delhi-based, for restructuring the salary, you have to take special care that it should be in line with the currently prevailing rates as per the Minimum Wages Act applicable in Delhi state. For this, you may get hold of the latest Delhi's Bare Act Booklet of this year for all types of rates applicable to unskilled, semiskilled, and skilled workers in various types of industries. The rate chart provided will help you as a guideline for your management to decide on the new salary structure above the minimum wages rate to be on the safer side.
Additionally, there is another important thing I would like to share with you. There is a meeting of CiteHR Delhi/NCR members being organized on 1st July '07 (Sun) at 11:30 AM, Nirulas, CP, New Delhi, in which we expect that more than 30 HR professionals of all levels would be participating! It would be nice if you also join there, as it will help you widen your HR contacts in Delhi/NCR.
