Dear Seniors,
My name is Gnanaprakash, and I'm from Vellore, Tamil Nadu. I have a query regarding overseas education, especially for a UK MBA. I plan to pursue an MBA in the UK in the future, but I am unsure if it will be worth it. I already hold an MBA qualification from Anna University's affiliated college, but I am not satisfied with my current career progression. Whenever I try to find a job in good companies, they require an MBA from premier B-schools, which I lack. Seniors, please help me with this issue.
Thank you in advance.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Gnanaprakash, Doing an MBA from Anna University has its own merits, but its recognition or scope-related worth may be limited. If you consider pursuing another full-time regular MBA from the UK, especially from a reputable college, it could be quite expensive (close to 60 lakhs). I suggest you gather more information and weigh your options regarding an English degree. A full-time MBA program from India, from institutions like FMS, IIM, etc., is comparable in quality.

Benefits of Pursuing an MBA in the UK
If nothing else, gaining an MBA from the UK will expose you to a different work culture. Additionally, they provide you with a visa that entitles you to work there for two years after graduation. However, they require two years of work experience. Bolton University has an operation in Dubai, which may work out cheaper.
I do not know how Attri arrived at a figure of 60 lakhs!
Have a nice day.

Thank you for the correction. The government also allows students to work a maximum of 20 hours per week, and if one is lucky to find a job, they can earn 100 pounds or more per week (approximately Rs. 6,500). One has to consider whether the exposure gained is worth the cost.

Thank you, Simhan and Attri, for your immediate reply. I need some more clarification. For your reference, I already have 1.5 years of experience in HR after my MBA and 1 year of experience in the marketing field prior to my MBA. So, I don't think experience comes into the picture. I just want to know about the employment opportunities after my graduation from an MBA in the UK.
