Dear All,

I was working with an MNC and left the job in April '10. We at our organization didn't receive the PF numbers in the salary slip. Can someone help me with the forms to be filled and what the procedure is to withdraw the money from the PF account? Recently, I have received my PF number.

Thanking you in advance.

You need to fill up Form 19 and Form 10C, and provide a photocopy of your bank account passbook, etc. This is the withdrawal form. Ask the HR staff of your previous organization to fill out the 3A form, which is printed in the form.

Dear Shri Vijaybhau,

I am also a Punekar. If you find any difficulty in filing an application for your PF withdrawal or need any assistance, you may please contact me on my personal email ID <shyaam.agrawal@gmail.com>. We will together sort out the matter to your full satisfaction. I may remind you of one thing here: If you have taken up another job after leaving the first one, please do consider continuation of your old PF account which you are contemplating to close down. It will be in your own interest. That will give you benefits of the continuation of your pension contribution which you otherwise lose if the account is closed before completion of 10 years of service.

Incidentally, I request all seniors to advise the information seekers about the continuation of their PF accounts instead of closure before 10 years. PF accounts should be closed only when a person is leaving the job and retiring permanently or when the continuation/transfer of the PF account is not possible at all.

Thanks and regards.
